ABOUT
Amarillo Dusk plays and produce handmade country music without sticking to Western cliches. They represent a modern conception of a genre that thrives on telling true stories from life.
Handmade music, honest and authentic. A sound inspired by current productions from the music city of Nashville. Two voices and personal lyrics are accompanied by acoustic guitars, banjo and pedal steel guitar, which is iconic for the country sound.
Amarillo Dusk are a singer & songwriter duo from Aachen, Germany. Doreen and Bastian both share a passion for American style homemade music. Most songs are written by Bastain and Doreen, with a few covers mixed in. Few classical country bands exist in Germany, and even fewer translate this style to modern times.
The roots of Amarillo Dusk lie in homemade guitar music. That’s why live performances take place as part of an acoustic set. On the big stages, Doreen and Bastian are accompanied by a full band.

On stage we can play acoustically or with a full band setup. Our minimum line-up is Doreen (vocals, guitar) and Bastian (vocals, guitar, piano). But we can also play with a full band setup or something in between. We play our own songs and covers from the Americana / country genres. The advantage of an acoustic set is a higher flexibility, less technical effort and a very special atmosphere. We play music to tell stories, and love to share this with our audience through an intimate setting.

Equipment
Most equipment will be brought by us. That includes the instruments, the wiring on stage, microphones and on (in-ear) monitoring system with digital pre-mixer and splitter. The sound system is the responsibility of the organizer as requirements depend on the venue. We are happy to discuss technical requirements and finding an event technician if necessary. For small gigs, such as bars or homes, we are happy to play with whatever sound system you have available or we can bring a small one that fits up to 40 people.
